Stefania Bandinu was born in Sardinia and moved to Bologna to pursue her studies.
Her passion is to dress the body, decorating its forms while creating new possible identities. In France she worked with Cirque Cabriole, designing and making their sets, costumes, masks and accessories for "Chemin des cabrioles"

Stefania Bandinu got into designing and making jewels and accessories by chance.
Her models take form from materials such as everyday pieces of cloth or metal that are designed, cut, shaped on the body and decorated with minute details, vibrant strings, embroidery, small colored hoops, curls of wool, enameled antennae.

Her universe draws inspiration from the ever moving forms that nature creates, incessant evolution and relentless metamorphosis: she loves to observe indistinctly plants that grow taking on new forms, flowers whose beauty blooms and quickly fades, insects that in their smallness reproduce an infinity of the brightest colors hardly imagineable... and then there's the ocean, the rivers, the streams and the mountains, wherever creatures of so heart-touching beauty may be found.

Wrought aluminum butterfly with purple enameled antennae, mounted on a glittered fuchia baret.
Designed, cut and wrought entirely by hand.
Each of these butterflies is designed and cut by hand, without the use of moulds. Though similar to one another, each one is different and unique.
